To be honest I am not sure I will be back to regular blogging, I am trying to date, be happy, lose some weight and be happy all the time no matter what.

Pool madness

4 Jul

Hello good peoples.

So I am in my final week before I move back to Uganda.  So much to do! I have managed to pack and sell off almost all my  belongings and moved house closer to my office.

I am house sitting for a friend who is out of town for a while.  She happens to have a pool in her house. So I have been skinny dipping everyday!

The house helps have a separate section of the property as their residence so lots of privacy. At frist they liked to walk into the pool area but one must have spotted me swimming.  Now when I am home none of them walks by hehehe.

Secondly they must think I am a whore. The first night my friend came by (he walked me home after a tea date) the gate man locked the gate and my friend had to climb over! Luckily the got the memo and nolonger lock my male company in considering I have male guests almost every night (trying to make up for lost time with me). The girls pass by during the day for lunch or a dip in the pool.

All in all I am enjoying this time before I go into Kampala madness.

Have a fab weekend!

Home, where i belong.

6 Mar

I am currently in Uganda. Long over due holiday. Looking forward to catching up with family and friends.  So much has gone on lots of babies in the picture.

This weekend my family and i are doing a road trip and it happens to be in the town a man i once loved deeply lives, yes i am.going to visit him and his wife. I think enough time has passed and we can be friends of sort. I do admit he was a good friend. A brief drop in wouldn’t hurt. I will update on how it goes.

In other news my girl is expecting! Gosh, i am.super excited!! Already booked god mother position. I slept over at her home last night and came back with lots of sexy, sexy outfits. According to her i should consider them borrowed and should be returned as soon as she slim down hehehe. She wishes.

No serious man in my life. I think i am afraid of commitment Lord help me!

Blogging from my phone as i get my hair braided. Yes after a long time i upgraded hehehe.

Shout out to Uganda girl, Jollof . Virtual kisses to both of you.

Have a fab day.

Farewell My Baby

7 Feb

Last Saturday, the neighbor called me to ask if Jim was in my house, i said no and he probably run away and would be back soon.

later in the afternoon i realize he is not yet back. Only to be told he is dead, knocked not too far away from home.

Farewell my baby, we had some great times, the thought of having to replace him is too much.

Happy New Year

25 Jan

Happy new year!

My apologies for going AWOL but i really haven’t had any thing to write about. Yes lots going on in my life but writing didnt come naturally.

The best thing to have happened to me is my best-est friend came to Uganda for the Christmas break. Thank you love, for every thing.

And my good friend Abba Lang of Klear Kut aka missing link was in town as well, he is still as talkative as ever. I didn’t realize that we last met eight years ago! How time flies but it was  nice catching up even if it was for a short time.

Hope to get my writing mojo back soon.

Have a fab weekend

Fake Nails

1 Jun

When i moved almost three years ago, i had the shortest nails! All my friends where very familiar with my disgusting nail biting habit. I tried over the years to grow them but always ended up going back to square one on a stressed day(it still happens but in a more controlled way)

What i noticed is how the girls in this city love to look good, the hair in place(i happily rocked unkempt hair for months!) eye brows tweezed all in all well kempt and there i was looking like a villager with ugly nails, so the journey to grow my nails started.

Fast forward two years later, i keep my nails long and neat, the only problem is with out nail polish, they look like i have no blood in me! So i have inevitable have to wear nail polish and that is where the problem starts, every one thinks i wear fake nails! How come they never notice when my nails are not polished? This week alone five of my work mates have tagged at my nails to make sure they are real!

In other news, Call me backward but i recently discovered J. Cole my God he is hott!!! Just the way i like my men.

Bon weekend and happy new month tout le monde!

10 Truths

24 Apr

After my earlier post on misconceptions it was inevitable to do one on the conceptions about moi 🙂 and of course Single Nigerian has been patiently waiting for this post. I blame it on the really bad internet connection over the last couple of days. With out further ado, ten truths about yours truly.

1. I have two sides the quiet one and the really, really talkative me. Some times it seems as if two people exist in me. Some people see the bold me, very few ever see the shy me.

2. I am a workaholic, i come alive when i have lots of work and busy, i tend to balance my life better when busy than the other way round. My current job allows me time to do lots of things but i think i did a lot more when i worked 12 hours a day!

3. I am an old soul in a young body, my taste in music is one thing, i am happy listening to jazz, blues, classical, soul etc on a friday night than go paint the town red, i currently have Nina Simone, Etta James on replay. The funny thing is my current Mr is so young in terms of music, i can’t have a conversation on good music with out going who is that? I mean he is up to date with the music today that i am i awe, don’t get me wrong, i listen to current musicians as well such as Adele, Asa, Freshly ground etc you can view my playlist. I love dancing, some times i dress up in my heels at home and dance all by myself lol!

4. I am very loyal, to my family, friends and employer. I guess it is the reason i have had the same friends from before i could form sentences.

5. I am a Christian baptised in water and the holy spirit.

6. I am a tad bit impatient, some times when i los my cool i will snap at a person but most times i will ignore them

7. My attention span is so low, i have conversations with myself while talking to some one else.

8. Most of my pay goes on lingerie, too bad Victoria secrets does not have a store in my current city.

9. I am a tea addict, my house is full of all kinds of team from across the world. Thanks to my wonderful friends. Nothing beats finding a new tea flavour that is fabulous!

10.  I love fashion, though i do not like dressing up every day, once in a while is ok with me.  Mainly because i can handle the attention for one night but every day is a bit too much for me. My new job, the boss flat-out told me to upgrade and i am really looking forward to putting my girly side to use 🙂 apparently my tom boy style is a no, no. Stalkers tend to be attracted to my style.

This post has taken almost two hours to be completed! Writing about yourself is not easy!

Birthday plans this week. Mr has been informed about the Samsung galaxy note and i know the girls are having a cake made. Dear Lord i will be 30 in a few years!!

Have a fab week.
